Avon Studios is Warwickshire’s longest established professional photography studio.
We have two clear divisions: Photography for Business and Photography for Family. On the business side, we specialise in personal branding, press, and PR photography, helping clients visually convey their brand stories with professionalism and style.
For families, we focus on capturing the warmth and authenticity of family, new-born, and wedding moments. Our Studio is passionate about creating impactful visuals that resonate deeply with our clients, blending technical skill with a creative vision .
We also have a successful photo retail shop adjacent to the studio, allowing us to preserve and protect our customers’ existing memories with Photo Printing, Photo Restoration, On site Video Transfer and Framing service.
📷 Job Description:
As a Photographer, you’ll be an integral part of both divisions, working with a diverse client base to create stunning visuals that meet their unique needs. Your role will involve capturing moments across various settings, from intimate family sessions to professional branding shoots, with a focus on making clients feel comfortable and at ease.
🌟 Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct photoshoots for both family (including new-born and wedding) and business (personal branding, press, and PR) clients.
- Capture high-quality, authentic images that align with each client’s vision and our brand’s aesthetic.
- Set up and manage photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and props, for both studio and on-location shoots.
- Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, ensuring polished, professional results.
- Collaborate with our creative team to conceptualise innovative and contemporary ideas for shoots across all genres.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision, provide guidance, and create a relaxed atmosphere for a seamless photoshoot experience.
🎓 Requirements:
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience primarily in family, newborn, and wedding photography with a portfolio that showcases these styles.
- A good knowledge and understanding in personal branding, press, and PR photography, with the ability to capture images that communicate strong visual narratives for business clients.
- Desire to work with us to grow the business
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for advanced photo editing and retouching.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, understand their needs, and build rapport for a comfortable shoot environment.
- A creative eye and contemporary flair for capturing authentic, timeless moments across both family and business settings.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse environments and a fast-paced atmosphere.

📷 Job Description:
As an Assistant Photographer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our senior photographer during photoshoots and assisting in post-production tasks. This will include going on to complete shoots in your own right using your creative and artistic talent. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Helping to book shoots and taking part in any pre-consultations chats to understand what a customer is after.
- Assisting photographers on location and studio photoshoots.
- Handling and setting up photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and props.
- Undertaking shoots
- Participating in post-processing tasks, including editing, retouching, and enhancing images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Partaking in the occasional viewings, helping customers to decide on their final products and bringing their vision to life.
- Collaborating with the creative team to generate innovative ideas and concepts for business development.
🌟 Apprentice Route Option:
For aspiring photographers who have the talent and enthusiasm to develop their skills further, we are offering an exciting apprentice route. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to:
- Receive hands-on training from experienced photographers and industry professionals.
- Gain exposure to a diverse range of photography genres and styles.
- Work on real projects and build an impressive portfolio.
- Learn advanced photo editing techniques using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
🎓 Requirements:
To succeed in this role and be considered for the apprentice route, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- A strong passion for photography and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Good customer service skills and an ability to work with all age groups.
- Some knowledge of photography techniques, camera settings, and lighting and in photo editing software, particularly Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. (As Training will be provided).
- Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to work well in a team and adapt to fast-paced environments.
